International
The Shaelic Commonwealth is represented in international play by the Green Tigers, the men's national team, and the Lady Green Tigers, the women's national team.
League system
The Shaelic Football League is the main professional competition in the nation, consisting of three leagues: the Shaelic Premier League (SPL) is the top tier, followed by the Shaelic First League (SFL) and the Shaelic Secondary League (SL), respectively. Each league consists of 16 clubs and plays a 30-game home and away regular season schedule. There are also numerous semi-professional and amateur regional leagues around the nation not under the Shaelic Football League umbrella.
All Champions Cup
To determine the Commonwealth's national football champion, the top two finishing clubs in the regular season from each of the nation's three professional leagues square off in a knockout competition called the All Champions Cup. The SPL, FL, and SL regular season champions receive first-round byes.
Commonwealth Cup
The Commonwealth Cup is an annual knockout competition held by the Commonwealth Football Association. All 48 professional clubs participate in the season-long tournament.
